Meet Courtney
Courtney founded Mahjong Standard to teach American mahjong the warm, hands-on way. She hosts every session herself, guiding you from the very first tile, so even complete beginners feel right at home.

This one is built for people who have never played. No rules to study first, nothing to bring, no partner needed. If you’ve been curious about mahjong but had no idea where to start, this is the place to start. We keep the table small, just eight seats, so everyone gets real attention and no one gets left behind.
