Meet Courtney
Courtney founded Mahjong Standard to teach American mahjong the warm, hands-on way. She hosts every session herself, so whether it's your second game or your two-hundredth, there's always a friendly face at the table.
Good to know
A play evening, not a first lesson
This one is for players who already know the rules and have a game or two under their belt. Tables roll from the very start — no walk-through, just good play, good food, and good company. You'll want to be past your very first sit-down.
Brand new to mahjong? Start with a lesson and we'll see you at the next one.
Got a set? Bring it
If you have your own tile set, bring it along — more sets means more tables in play. Don't have one? No problem at all, we'll have plenty. Let us know in the registration form so we can plan the tables around who's bringing what.
