A different kind of team day

A team-building day they will actually enjoy

Corporate mahjong team building is a guided group session where we bring American mahjong to your office or venue and teach the whole team to play from scratch. Everyone learns together at the same pace, so it connects people over a shared, screen-free challenge and levels the room across roles and seniority. We bring the whole experience to you; your team just shows up.

Why it works

Why mahjong brings a team together

Connection, not a screen

A shared game at a real table gets a team talking, laughing and reading each other, the connection that Slack threads and video calls never quite build.

No experience needed

Everyone starts from scratch, together. Nobody arrives an expert, so the game levels the room across roles and seniority and gives every person the same fresh footing.

We bring the whole thing

Tiles, mats, racks, cards and a host who runs it all. Your team just shows up at your office or venue; we handle every detail from set-up to the final hand.

How it works

We bring the whole experience to you

  • 1

On-site, wherever you are. We come to your office or venue anywhere across the Denver metro area, and we can travel further afield to the mountains and beyond (think Vail, Breckenridge, Colorado Springs and more), with those further venues subject to confirmation first. All we need is tables and chairs; we bring everything the game needs.

  • 2

Any group size. Mahjong is played four to a table, so we simply add tables as the group grows. Everyone plays at once.

  • 3

Any mix of experience. Total beginners or seasoned players, we cater to whatever mix your team brings. We can teach an all-beginner room from scratch, or mix it up with beginners learning at one table while experienced players enjoy open play at another.

  • 4

Around two hours, fully hosted. Courtney runs the whole session: teaching brand-new players from the first tile, and keeping the open-play tables moving with a strategy nudge whenever they want one, so your team is playing real hands within the first hour.

What we set out to give a team

“Everyone learns together, from scratch. By the end of the afternoon a team has done something genuinely new, side by side, and the room feels different for it.”

Good to know

Common questions

What is corporate mahjong team building?

It is a guided group session where a host brings American mahjong to your office or venue and teaches the whole team to play from scratch. Everyone learns together at the same pace, so it levels the room across seniority and connects people over a shared, screen-free challenge rather than a lecture or a trust fall. We bring the whole experience to you; your team just shows up.

How long does it take to learn to play American Mahjong?

A single session, around two hours, is enough for a complete beginner to genuinely play. Teams are handling tiles and playing real hands within the first hour, learning in the flow of the game rather than from a rulebook. Nobody needs to prepare or study beforehand.

Is American Mahjong hard to learn?

Not the way most people expect. It has a real learning curve, like any game worth playing, but you do not need to master it to enjoy the session. With a host guiding every table, most people are playing real hands within the first hour, and it gets easier every single hand.

How many people can take part?

Mahjong is played four to a table, so we simply add tables as the group grows. That means it scales comfortably from a small team to a large group, with everyone playing at once. Tell us your headcount and we will bring enough tables, tiles and hosting to suit.

What occasions is it good for?

Team offsites, culture and connection days, client entertaining, appreciation events and holiday parties all work beautifully. Anywhere you want people talking, laughing and connecting rather than staring at a screen, a guided mahjong session fits.

How much does a corporate mahjong event cost?

Every event is quoted to fit the group size, venue and format, so there is no fixed ticket price. Tell us your headcount, rough date and where you would like to host, and we will send a custom quote. Everything the tables need is included.
